TELL THE STORY OF A PLACE
With infrastructure, we can tell stories with structures ever-present in our daily lives. In Environmental Architecture, we build sustainable architecture reflective of the environment and/or culture of an area. We will meet in the Makerspace to work on our architecture prototypes using a variety of materials, including cardboard, metal, and 3D printing. These projects will culminate in a collective display in Spring Term in the Gelb Gallery.

How to Design Environmental Architecture with Equal Earth

01
Design Proposal and Sketching
Consider the story and style you want to use for your architecture project. How will your design reflect the human and natural cultures of an area? Share and discuss your sketches with Cindy.
02
Building and Modeling
How will you turn your vision into a physical model? Explore the various materials available to you in order to create a 3D model of your designs.

03
Display and Exhibition

Compile your sketches and models into the unique architecture project you've created for a place! Write an artist statement explaining your process and story.
